- THE BAND -

The band was set up by two talented young musicians: Raffaele Kohler (trumpet) and Luciano Macchia (trombone). Over the course of the years, the band made some adjustments to line-up and style, until it reached the actual 6-piece line-up that exists today: as well as trumpet and trombone, Ottavo Richter comprises Domenico Mamone (baritone sax), Paolo Xeres (drums), Marco Xeres (electric bass) and Alessandro Sicardi (guitar).
Having received good publicity from the start - including reviews in major newspapers and publications - the band has also enjoyed success through collaborations with some of Italy’s most influential jazz and pop musicians. Furthermore, Ottavo Richter has taken part in some of the country’s major jazz and music events, including:
  • Iseo Jazz 1999
  • Magenta Jazz 1999
